Office portraits can do more than put a face to a name. For Campbell Architecture, Intelligent Design Studio was engaged to explore a hand-drawn approach to staff portraiture, bringing a more individual character to the practice’s visual identity.
A different kind of studio portrait
The commission involves a series of formal portraits, produced on A1 paper in a refined illustrative style. Developed as a conceptual exploration, the drawings offer an alternative to traditional staff photography and may be used across Campbell Architecture’s website and branding.
The aim is to capture personality as well as likeness: something with a little more character than a standard corporate headshot.

The project also reflects the broader creative work of Intelligent Design Studio, alongside design, drafting and documentation. Bespoke portrait commissions are available for individuals, studios and professional practices.
Not quite an Archibald Prize entry just yet—but a welcome opportunity to bring drawing into another part of studio life.
